I just have to say publicly what I am thinking privately and that is that I am married to the most wonderful woman on the planet…Can you imagine that she spent her birthday at a double header softball game after watching day care kids all day, and taxiing our son home from his ball practice, while I was at our daughters practice coaching (and sweating…man it was hot). Somehow the cupcakes and ice cream cups just don’t seem to be an adequate celebration of her birthday, and the gift and cards she received from the kids and I definitely aren’t enough either. I wish That there was a way to really express how much I appreciate her as a wife, friend, and mother, but there isn’t enough money in the world to buy an adequate gift (and definitely not in the eckmans bank account), and words just don’t cut it either. I guess I will just have to try and be the best husband and father I can be, as an expression of my appreciation for her, and thank God every day for creating someone as special as she is.
