What am I hoping to accomplish…that is always the big question when we start a focused theme at the church. With our Fearless theme coming up on Sept. 20th, I am in the middle of trying to figure out what exactly we would like to accomplish with this theme. In my mind there is a lot of benefit to using a theme based around a book, and the study resources that come with it. It is my hope that people will take advantage of the small group resources, and the book to dig deeper through the week and not just come, listen, and leave. I hope people will study the book and as a result, the Bible, and then begin to ask each other questions that relate. I am hoping that Max will help us to overcome some of our fears in a Biblical way, and that we would live more confident lives as believers as a result. My biggest hope is that the interaction that people have with others as we all study together would encourage them to become learners and hold each other accountable to continue to learn on their own, as well as at church. I’m not expecting too much, am I?
