Its been a while since I’ve posted, mostly because I haven’t had much time to sit down and think. Last Weekend was our adult retreat at “The Springs” Camp, and I enjoyed the time away with Tori and other church friends very much. It was also a pleasure to see Matt Stone sharing one of the messages since he is one of our Floyd Kids who is now ministering at another church in the Grand Rapids Area. We also had pastor Shanks there who pastored here at Floyd for 17 years, to cover the older side of the spectrum and then Kevin Kindy shared the middle aged perspective. All of their messages were good and cumulatively reminded me of some good things:
- Mutuality is required in relationships. Both parties must give 100%
- Accountability in the church is a must if we are to stay on the right track.
- We are not all gifted in the same ways, but we all have a job to do.
- God’s Grace in necessary in our lives not only for us, but also for us to show to others
On a lighter note we had a blast playing team ping pong with only 2 paddles…I WAS IN THE ZONE BABY! Until Troy knocked me out of it. I look forward to next year.
