I grew up in Howell, MI, and attended the Wright’s Corners Church of God (Now the Crossroads Church of God) and graduated from Fowlerville Baptist School. After marrying Tori Dendel we both attended and graduated from Warner Southern College in Lake Wales, Florida. My degree was a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Studies with a minor in Biblical Studies, while Tori received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education.
I have served churches in Elwood, Indiana and Defiance, Ohio before returning home to MI, to serve as Senior Pastor of the Floyd Church of God near Midland, MI. In June of 2013 we accepted the call to become Lead Pastor of the North Avenue Church of God in Battle Creek, MI.
My hobbies are playing guitar, coaching any sport my kids are playing, basketball, softball, golf, photography, computer graphics, video editing, and web design.
My priorities are really pretty simple…I am first and foremost a follower of Christ. Second I am a husband and father. Third I am a Pastor and Worship Leader. It is difficult to remember to keep 2 and 3 in the proper order, but I must if I am to effectively lead the body of Christ.
