Wow what a Spring!

So much for commenting a couple times a week.  The past few weeks have been busy preparing for Easter, and I know that this week will be busy as well, but I couldn’t help but take a few moments and Post a few thoughts about The events of this week.  I am especially looking forward to the Good Friday Service which we have the privilege of hosting this year here are Floyd.  I love any service where multiple churches get together and worship together…what a wonderful picture of the Kingdom of God in action.  I hope the building is packed as it has been in times past, so that we can celebrate together what Jesus did for us on the Cross. 

I also get excited about the communion and footwashing service on Thursday night, and want to issue a challenge to some of you that have never participated in that, to come and just observe if you would like…or better yet take some water into a classroom with your family and have your own private time of footwashing.  There isn’t any magic formulas to use…we just rinse each others feet with water and then dry them as a symbol of our desire to serve one another.  What a powerful statement to your children or your spouse that would be, if you were to wash their feet as a declaration of you desire to serve them.

Take advantage of this weeks activities in every way possible and may each of you be drawn closer to the Savior as the week progresses.
